To realize what the potential asset is, hold back for a second and read this short
fun story.
, everyone at your company can tell quite a few amusing
stories and original jokes. SubjectsTime turns this into a contest among organizations
and imposes certain rules making it attractive to a wide audience.
Advertising and driving
visitors to the company website
Statistics showed that most people who happened to see the contest during warm-up
rounds, would keep coming back to follow it.
On average, 1 out of 4 people would check out the website of the
company behind a story they rated high.
Building company spirit
Ann Matte, Hays:
"It does help to foster team spirit at the office. We were eager to see how
we’d stack up against other organizations. That's fascinating and helps us to feel
that we, colleagues, are one team behind our company."
"Humanizing"
the company
Demonstrate that behind your company are nice people, with a good sense of humor.
What are the contest
rules?
Every Friday, a new round is announced. It comes with
five interesting subjects, each to be addressed with short and funny stories (jokes,
videos).
Next Friday, this round gets opened (and at the same time a new one gets
announced). From now on, the teams can no longer submit their solutions, and it's
only since now that everyone can see and rate (based on how smart, funny, and interesting
it is) what each team came up with in this round.
Next Friday, the round gets closed (the one announced a week ago gets opened,
and yet a new one is announced). No more votes to this round are accepted, and the
final standings are published.
Every round's stories, ratings, statistics, and final standings remain publicly
available on the site for good.
How much time does it
take to participate?
When another subject needs to be addressed, a quick collaboration can take place
among all interested collegues, making it possible to come up with a smart and funny
solution quickly.
What does it cost to
participate?
$35 per round.
What if our people's
posts harm the company in some way?
A new round starts only once a week, and thus new stories appear only once a week.
Before the new round launches our editors will review all submitted stories to check
them against bad language and offensive or defamotory content. Should they spot
any, they will share their concerns with the company. The editors can also suspend
the ones that are harmful in some way until those get corrected.
Again, the check happens before the stories actually appear on the site.
How many clicks to our
website can we get?
As it was stated above, people tend to check out websites of companies behind the
stories they like. So the better (smarter, funnier) your stories are, the more people
will check out your website. Even when you no longer participate (should you ever
wish to quit), people will be able to see the stories in the rounds where your company
took part.
How effective/targeted
those clicks are?
The clicks are not targted; however they span the entire world, including your company's
target area, if any.
What kind of stories/jokes/videos
are allowed?
Can be real or made up.
Should be nice, funny, smart.
Must NOT be profane, offensive, defamotory, plagiaristic.
Can we advertise here?
It's only by taking part in the contest that a company can naturally advertise itself
here. No 3rd-party ads ever appear on the site.
